On Monday December 1st, the Toronto Maple Leafs came into town and battled my Kings. It was interesting to watch two teams that I have a very personal stake in. My Kings will always be number one in my heart, but my fondness for the Leafs is steadily growing.

Brian Burke will be the next president and general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs. His contract is expected to last until the end of the 2013-14 season and will pay him $3 million a season. A formal announcement from the Leafs should come later today

Unofficially, Brian Burke is the 13th General Manager of my beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Hopefully, he’ll be the man that brings the 14th Cup to Toronto. Relative merits, weaknesses, and alternatives have been discussed pretty much ad infinitum
